Who we are

Bingify (“we”) is a personal project operated by its maintainer. For any privacy question, contact developer.mrabhi@gmail.com.

Data we collect

• Account data from our authentication provider (Clerk): your email address, username, and avatar image.
• Activity you create: watch states, episode progress, ratings, reviews, watchlists, follows, and taste preferences.
• Technical data: standard request logs and privacy-friendly usage analytics (Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies).

Why we use it

To provide the tracking, rating, review, list, social, and recommendation features, to keep the service secure, and to understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

We use these processors to run the service:

• Clerk (authentication and account management)
• Neon (PostgreSQL database hosting)
• Upstash (caching and rate limiting)
• Vercel (application hosting and analytics)

Catalog metadata, ratings, and availability come from TMDB, OMDb, JustWatch, and MyAnimeList (via Jikan). We do not send your personal data to these catalog providers.

Cookies

We use essential cookies set by Clerk to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our database (the account deletion is propagated from Clerk and cascades your records). Residual copies in routine backups are removed on the normal backup rotation.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Delete your account from account settings, or contact developer.mrabhi@gmail.com to exercise any right. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (for example under GDPR or CCPA).
